Position: Teacher- Diploma of Community Welfare Work

 

Role Description: A full-time position, teaching and administering courses

 

as well as contributing to curriculum development, and assisting with

 

administrative tasks as required.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Up to 25 hours per week face to face teaching time

 

•    Establish, maintain and monitor field placements

 

•    Provide academic advice to students

 

•    Assist the Director of Studies with student management

 

•    Develop and improve curriculum material

 

•    Adhere to academic and administrative policies and procedures

 

•    Maintain currency in discipline area

 

Essential Selection Criteria:

 

•    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant subject area

 

•    Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment

 

•    Four years industry experience

 

•    Ability to develop and maintain links to the Community Welfare sector         

 

•    Ability to teach both domestic and international students

 

•    Demonstrate initiative and leadership in the workplace

  

Desirable Selection Criteria:

 

•    Previous teaching experience in the VET sector

 

•    RPL experience

 

•    AIWCW membership
