TESOL Preparation Course

This is a part-time course specifically aimed at students who require or would like some preparation training for SA40450 Certificate IV TESOL course. The training is designed not only to rapidly improve any areas of English a student may have difficulties with, but to also aid students in their approach to
the TESOL course and give them a ‘head start’ on some of the course content.

Duration

The training runs for up to 4 weeks and is generally undertaken directly before the TESOL course.Students have the option to study in 1 week blocks depending on their needs.Lessons are conducted from 3:00 – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.Students who have been assessed by the Director of Studies as requiring some improvement before attempting the TESOL course may need to a undertake a set number of weeks.

Course Outline

During the daily training sessions the focus will generally be on grammar for the first hour and then switch to reading in the second. Knowledge and use of grammar is an integral part of TESOL. Your teacher will provide you with the best ways to improve your own grammar whilst giving you an insight into the basics of English grammar as covered in the TESOL course.Good reading skills will allow you to get the most out of your TESOL course. Practical training in efficient reading methods is delivered so that your
confidence with the various TESOL text books is at a good level prior to starting your course.

Course Fees

The cost for the TESOL preparation course is based on weekly blocks.
1 week:  $350 (10 hours)
2 weeks: $500 (20 hours)
3 weeks: $650 (30 Hours)
4 weeks: $800 (40 hours)
